I haven't heard from you
In five months
And twenty-eight days
The soft sigh
After a tiring day
The secret smile
That graced your face
Sometimes mirth
Other times rue
The ones I could listen
Even from miles away
I haven't heard from you
For so long
But your voice still resonates.

ReplyDeleteHey thanks :)
Delete:)
ReplyDeleteIt will soon disappear.
ReplyDeleteFirst it will be loud, and clear as if he were speaking,
then as time passes, you'll begin to wonder if you remember it right,
'no, it wasn't like this', you'd argue with yourself, tinkering with the sample voice you had,
and without the replenishment of a fresh promise, it will continue to fade,
your doubt so strong that you will no longer believe that you can remember his voice,
and then you'll forget the voice and only lament that you don't even remember his voice.
But one funny thing will happen. His voice will be raw and original in a dream, and when you wake up, you'll know it was the original one, but would not be able to recall it from your mind.
Then, you will cry, or sigh, just a little more.
Regards,
Blasphemous Aesthete
And then you will wipe away the tears clouding your eyes and decorating your cheeks. Pick up the pieces, with no more to hide and slowly walk away.
