walking on air

There is so much to write so much to express but I just don't have words. So, I'm just gonna pen down some moments, they are always small moments that make me happy I do not need big things to brighten up my day.

So without further ado, here are the ones that made my day today :D

1. Theory exams got over yesterday and I breathed a sigh of relief, happy that the piles of notes and books have finally vanished from sight !

2. Not that I haven't had cutting chai before but today for the first time had it on a typical chai stall, the kind of one they show on television where the poor beaten down hero goes to drink tea and mourns for his lover but I wasn't gloomy, I was happy and with a friend :D

3. A friend, a special friend called me for the first time today making me jump and even making me forget I had sprained my ankle sometime back. Good thing, the sprain is gone and since then I'm more happy happy..kisi k nazar na lage ;)

4. Felt someone close..too close today whose far away, well neither we spoke nor did we meet but something happened or rather saw something !

5. Talked to my sis on skype, video chat and did all sorts of antics we could possibly do..hehe

6. Last but not the least, I activated my FB account yesterday after almost 3 long months :D

Woo Hoo...all in all 14th December, 2012 was one of the awesomest (if that's even a word) day! Thank you Allah for making it memorable and even the people in my life :)

Have a great day folks!

Drama Queen's Isle

Drama Queen's Isle

Having Sunday Morning Blues (SMB), instead of lazing around in my bed and enjoying this awesome weather..I'm studying for my exam tomorrow..unfair highly unfair...hmmp MMB's (Monday Morning Blues :D) are better than SMB...

This has gotta be ridiculous utterly ridiculous, I've got an exam my mini project exam coming up tomorrow and here I am once again randomly scribbling on my blog...not that this is the first time I'm doing this right before my exams. But I recollect now as I type this post that something similar was done last semester and practically before every exam, seems like a stress buster :D

Hell, seems like I've finally become insane, writing what ever is coming to my mind and all but what can I do, if all I feel like is to brew a hot cuppa of black coffee and sip it slowly and watch the downpour from my bedroom windows...yes it's raining since yesterday and I still haven't got a chance to play in rains :D mum's strict orders you see till tomorrow and I can't even fight back.. :( Nor can snuggle in my blanket with good daydreams or a novel which is none other than Catcher in the Rye that's pending since a long time...

Never mind that, one can always have hopes that that day will come soon when they are free from the cruel tyranny... of studies though the liberty lasts only for a mere couple of days..yet the exhilarating feeling you get can't be confined to words! Mine off-course starts from tomorrow and still I'm whining and being all melodramatic..

Alright now enough of my chatter I really need to go back to studying so I can talk fluently in front of the teachers and earn good points instead of...better not think of anything negative at the moment!

Ciao till we meet again!!! :D

Silent Song of the Heart!

Sitting under a chestnut tree she was lost in her own reverie; the coffee and the sandwiches lay there untouched on the smooth picnic cloth. It was a calm afternoon as the sun was subtle and the winds too blew almost quietly whispering amidst the deep hills. Some rabbits were busy playing hide and seek in the green lush bushes whilst the squirrels were busy gathering their nuts.

It was not after sometime that her spell broke and she felt a familiar presence. Lifting her eyelids she stared at the most beautiful pair of dark brown eyes that were gleaming and equally gazing at her and lips that had a smile playing on them.

She was stupefied for a moment and fluttered her eyelashes when it dawned on her that she was not dreaming but he was here in reality. No pleasantries were exchanged as he made himself comfortable across her, pouring some coffee fending himself. He didn’t know if it was just a habit or on purpose that she always carried an extra cup of coffee or even meals with her, though he was rarely able to join her. Yet he liked this fact about her and it allured him all the more.

Her cheeks had a tinge of red that glowed with her creamy skin, her big almond shaped hazel eyes peered in his and her petal like lips adorned a smile gracing his presence. Unlike other days today she wore a yellow summer dress, the one he liked and her hair were French braided and set on one side of her shoulder leaving the other bare.

Silence was their ally at this present moment and they were comfortable with it though on certain days it irked her but bemused him seeing her usual calm self seething in anger. He waited patiently for her to break the hush that echoed. He was ideating her possible reaction when she suddenly spoke.

“It’s been long, isn’t it Nathan that we met like this?” she asked in a placid voice laced with sarcasm. He was neither shocked at her question nor her choice of tone but it did puzzle him.

“Almost six months to be precise”, he replied and fell silent. They had known the other since mid school yet it was a strange kind of relation between them neither were they friends nor lovers. It was not a matter of acknowledgement but escapism not from each other but oneself. It was rather weird that even now they studied in the same university but their paths hardly collided. She was training to be a psychologist whereas he was pursuing sailing. They were oddly different yet similar.

“I missed you, Kate”, he spoke coming out of his thoughts. She was taken by surprise not by his words but with the intensity and depth of them. She knew what he meant nonetheless she replied, “You miss only those you forget, did you forget me?” throwing a question back at him before continuing “I didn’t miss you Nathan, I remembered you every waking second of my life.” The words took time to sink in and when they did he realized how vulnerable and attached they were to the other. Time, distance and even silence couldn’t separate them. That misunderstandings did rise but not at the cost of their relationship; it was not just friendship or mere romance that strengthened their bond but true companionship.

It was then that he spoke, “How can I forget? Can one forget to breathe and live!” her eyes grew moist for a moment as she interlaced her fingers with his resting her head on his heart.

Then all faded but the symphony of the serene heartbeats.

From The Bottom of My Heart!

From The Bottom of My Heart!

Years rolled and seasons changed,
Yet everything still remained the same...
Spring meant joy and winter bought gloom,
Still I was the same, all lonesome!

Only friendship ruled,
And love didn't mean a thing...
But it doesn't seem to be true anymore,
As your now a part of my soul!

Words fall short and emotions overflow,
One moment I'm dancing like a daffodil...
The other as dull as a withering rose,
Yet I dunno how should I tell ??

That, I love you in the spring...
And love you even in the fall...
In noon and also the moonlit hours,
And will always, with my heart and soul!

P.S: I had written this poem back then on 17th March '11 on the request of a friend of mine...Finally posting it here :)

Love

Love

Love is not You and Me,
Nor is love glancing and a passing phase,
Love is Now and Forever,
As love is We!

P.S: A happy happy one after long... :)

True Joy !!

SO INNOCENT..............

Children the word itself is so delightful that words such as altruistic, naive, loving, gentle come to our mind. The best years of one's life are the childhood days; but then this is not always true as pangs and sufferings of some also surround us.

Words cannot describe the immense pain that several undergo ...even though they might not tell about their grief but their heart tells so eyes are the windows to ones heart. If you can read a persons eyes, you can understand the person and his feelings. But despite preaching all this among our fellow beings how many of us really follow this practically and understand it's true meaning? Well very few! The earth is burdened yes, burdened with a plethora of people who live for just themselves and don't see others... their needs or their sufferings, these are the people who should come out of their shells and look what life really is ! Life is not only about enjoying the bounties and earning a hefty amount it's about understanding one another and spreading love and bringing joy and happiness in others life.

Ask an orphan who never saw his parents, whatever be the reason his feelings and sufferings remain same..they are waiting for someone; someone to call their own. The ecstasy of a child being adopted is far more than we can imagine! Not even a hefty salary can compare to the joy and yet, there are so many people who dread; dread to adopt a child .. because they fear.. fear this society, the people and others who might raise voices against them…and then there are who wish for their biological child no its not wrong to expect that but then many people are forced into second marriages just for the sake of their "khandan ka waris" as they say (esp. in-laws you can say) this is not just fiction but the harsh reality esp in India and the sub-continent ! And then there are who treat such kids badly and abuse them just coz they are orphans or not your real kid, better give the child for adoption rather than making him/her suffer, you are not only hurting the child but indirectly committing  a sin in the eyes of god .

The holy scriptures emphasis the “ An orphan b treated gently with love n respect ”  but despite this fact there are many who treat an orphan badly and see them as sinners wherein they themselves are doing a sin…There are very less people who don’t do like this and give such kids their due right..

"Hope all people understand this coz if, they do so the world of such a child will surely light up & it will b visible and then surely love, good will and harmony will prevail in this world and maybe then we will realize what true joys are!"

P.S:  Off lately I'm thinking a lot more like over analyzing and that is really bad coz eventually it'll hurt me, so I thought of refraining from writing poems or write ups that target the emotions and all at the moment...so comes out this neutral post!

Longing!

Longing!

Standing on the shore, gazing at the sea;
The sun turns mellow and the sky ocher,
The gleaming water sweeps, as I walk wondering by;
Waiting for his arrival I let out a sigh,
As the sun finally sets, I turn back to see...
On the shore he awaits, just for me!

A Walk Down The Memory Lane !

This was the most difficult poem for me to pen down...I was so lost in the feelings yet I was not getting words to express them, I really don't know how it has come out...so please give your honest reviews...hope you like it ! Thanks a lot :)

A Walk Down The Memory Lane

The enchanting darkness settles down,
And the moonlight shimmers in the narrow lane,
As the world around me transforms,
Awakening me to the warmth of my being.

The melancholy slowly fades down,
And the insanity too flees away,
The satin soft snow falls from the heaven above,
Engulfing me in its soulless life and ways!

Days roll and months pass by,
And the songs of the songster,
Kindle a fervent of hope and joy;
As I drench myself in the rains of July.

The chirping birds and the blooming flowers,
Call out to me and shed some light,
The unshed tears and unspoken words,
Are now seen in sight.

At the wake of dawn,
The drops of dew too spill,
And earth too exudes the innate beauty of spring,
As I reconcile the existence of love in my being.

Am I Unique ?

I smile, I laugh and enjoy,
But I still dunno why?
Tears slide down my eye.

They say I'm a hoyden,
But I still dunno why?
Loneliness stays by my side.

Some say I'm fickle and fey,
But I still dunno why?
Not a sneer comes my way.

You say I'm whimsical and clumsy,
But I still dunno why?
People laugh when they pass by.

I coax and cajole and clog,
But I still dunno why?
Not a single soul answers my why.

Maybe I'm both sweet and sour,
But I still dunno why?
They all have a sly smile when I pass by.
